Welcome to Kingsbrook...
We are a slightly smaller than average secondary school on the borders of Northamptonshire, and Buckinghamshire and serve a semi-rural catchment area but with the advantage of being close to Buckingham, Milton Keynes and Northampton. Transport links (M1, M40, A5 etc) make it easy to reach us from around the country.
Our size and position means that we work closely with local primary schools on transition but on other projects that enrich the lives of all involved. This involvement means that we can ensure smooth transition not only for pupils from local schools but also for those who chose to come to us from further afield.
Our aim is to prepare young people for the, as yet unknown, challenges and lifestyles that they will lead to ensure that they have not only the academic qualifications but also the wider skills and personal attributes so valued by employers and the wider community. Central to all that we do is our commitment to help young people to prepare for and lead personally fulfilling lives.
"Its good to have an end to journey towards;
But it is the journey that matters in the end"
- Ursula L LeGuin
I hope this web site gives you some idea of the ethos of Kingsbrook School but really it's only in meeting and talking with our young people, staff, parents and governors that you can get a real feel for the determination, team working and commitment that has seen our school make such significant progress towards our ambition to be outstanding. For us it is not the end result that is important but the rich experiences for staff and pupils on the journey towards excellence that matters.
